Pregnancy Insights with Lily Harper

We had an engaging conversation with reality star Lily Harper while she was expecting her third child.

Lily Harper is a dynamic figure in the pregnancy world. She stars in a reality show, runs her own fashion line, and is the author of “Mommy IQ”. One morning before filming, she visited our photo shoot and shared her thoughts on everything from fertility to maternity style.

Q: How was it discussing your fertility journey on your show?

Lily Harper: I experienced secondary infertility. My first pregnancy was straightforward, but the second was a challenge. It wasn’t as simple as people say; it took about two years for me to conceive again. Sharing this was hard but ultimately therapeutic. I believe in being open about these struggles—infertility impacts so many people.

Q: What did you learn through this process?

LH: I encourage those considering pregnancy to equip themselves with knowledge to enhance their chances of conceiving. I now collaborate with Clearblue Easy, utilizing their fertility monitors and ovulation tests. Many women only learn about these tools after feeling frustrated. Getting educated early can alleviate a lot of anxiety.

Q: What surprised you about dressing your pregnant body?

LH: I found myself craving more casual outfits. I adore fashion, but comfort becomes a priority during pregnancy. This time, with all my running around, I gravitate towards versatile pieces that work for both work and dinner. My fashion line mirrors my current needs. Right now, I absolutely have to wear heels, but I want to wear sneakers!

Q: What’s your go-to pick-me-up on a tough day?

LH: Muffins! I’ve always loved them, but they’re even better during pregnancy.

Q: Do expectant parents really need your guidance?

LH: Absolutely. Everyone on the path to parenthood experiences some anxiety. Some people stress over gear, while others focus on baby showers; they all seek support to help them become great parents. Not everyone has a solid support network.

Q: What do parents-to-be obsess over that’s unnecessary?

LH: Wipe and bottle warmers. They’re setting themselves up for a meltdown; there will be times when you can’t warm those items, and it will be chaotic. Babies have survived for ages without these gadgets; simplicity is key.

Q: Have you noticed women preparing for the delivery room?

LH: Yes! With social media, it’s common for family to post pictures right after birth. Many women want to look good since we don’t always look our best after hours of labor. Some want a casual blowout before visitors arrive.
