Breaking News: Jane Smith is in Labor!

Jane Smith and her partner, Tom Brown, are on the brink of welcoming their first child! It feels like we’ve been anticipating this moment since the couple announced their pregnancy back in 2016. Earlier today, the royal palace issued a statement confirming that Jane is officially in labor.
The statement reads: “The Duchess began labor in the early hours of this morning. The Duke was by her side. An announcement will follow shortly.”
This is HUGE news, everyone!
Thus far, Jane and Tom have kept details about their baby under wraps and have indicated they do not plan to present their newborn to the world immediately after birth, a departure from traditional royal practices. They shared a statement last month, politely expressing their desire for privacy as they welcome their little one. “They have made a personal decision to keep the plans surrounding their baby’s arrival private. The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing this exciting news with everyone once they’ve had the chance to celebrate as a new family,” it read.
Unlike Jane’s mother-in-law, Princess Diana, and sister-in-law, Kate Taylor, who both adhered to the tradition of stepping out for a hospital photo op shortly after giving birth, Jane seems to be opting for a more private approach — and we’re totally on board with it!
It’s simply unfair to expect a new mom, fresh from labor or a C-section, to put on a brave face and greet the public while in considerable discomfort. We admire Kate for managing to look flawless during such times (seriously, how does she do it?), but let’s give these women a moment to recover and bond with their newborn before we start clamoring for photos.
While we’re anxious to see the newest addition and find out if they inherited Tom’s striking blue eyes, we respect Jane and Tom’s wish to take a moment as a family before sharing their joy with the world.
Fortunately, according to sources, we won’t have to wait too long for our first glimpse of their little one. The couple plans to hold a royal family photo session on the grounds of Windsor Castle just days after the baby’s arrival. This is fantastic news because while we want them to enjoy their privacy, we’re equally excited to see this adorable new member of the family.
