Features
The Cortina Magic is loaded with compartments for your gear. It features a spacious lower basket that can easily accommodate a diaper bag and other essentials. Plus, it has a removable food and drink tray for toddlers, complete with cup holders and a dishwasher-safe liner. There’s even a tray for parents to use, making it convenient when you’re on the go. After transitioning from an umbrella stroller, I can’t express how relieved I am to no longer juggle a purse or diaper bag while trying to hold onto a sippy cup.
This stroller also includes a reversible canopy suitable for both infants and toddlers. However, the canopy for toddlers is somewhat small and might not provide the coverage you’d hope for. On the upside, the infant canopy is larger and offers substantial protection from sun, wind, and rain.
While I didn’t use this stroller until my daughter was a toddler, it’s compatible with the Chicco Keyfit and Keyfit 30 infant car seats, which latch right into the Cortina Magic. I used the Keyfit 30 until my daughter was nearly a year old and I wish I had made the switch to this stroller sooner. Regardless, with a weight limit of 50 pounds, we’ll be using it for a while longer since my daughter is well within that range.
Performance
Thanks to its all-wheel suspension system, the Cortina Magic delivers a smooth ride—perfect for sidewalks, paved paths, and indoor outings. The wheels are reasonably durable, although they are plastic and don’t perform well on rougher terrain (trust me, I’ve taken it off-roading, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you want longevity). The stroller features a simple locking mechanism where you only need to step on one of the back wheel tabs to lock both wheels. Additionally, the front wheels can be adjusted to a straight position if you prefer.
Overall, I’m pleased with my choice. The stroller not only looks great but is also easy to push. After using it for a year, it’s held up wonderfully, and I plan to use it again for my second child arriving soon.
Design
Putting this stroller together was a bit of a challenge when it first arrived, but once I figured it out, I was impressed with its sturdiness.
