Nestled in Goshen, NY, this colorful theme park will feature eight themed lands: Bricktopia, LEGO Ninjago World, Heartlake City, Knights’ Kingdom, LEGO City, Pirate Shores, The Factory, and my personal favorite, Miniland, where you can marvel at ten global landmarks entirely crafted from LEGO bricks—which according to their calculations, adds up to a jaw-dropping 22,231,368 bricks.
But wait, there’s more! The park will also include a LEGOLAND Hotel inspired by its counterpart in Carlsbad, CA. Guests can unwind in one of 250 family-friendly rooms, complete with LEGO-themed decor and playful areas to keep the fun going long after a day at the park.
Designed for children ages 2 to 12 and their families, LEGOLAND New York is a place where age is just a number. Let’s face it, anyone who opens a box of LEGO is bound to have a blast! “LEGOLAND New York is coming, and we can’t contain our excitement,” said Public Relations Manager Alex Thompson. “This sprawling 150-acre theme park offers a multi-day adventure filled with over 50 rides, shows, and attractions. Just 60 miles northwest of New York City, it’s the first major theme park to be built in the Northeast in decades, setting the stage for an ultimate family destination for visitors from New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and beyond.”
Opening on the Fourth of July is symbolic, as the holiday celebrates family togetherness. As the press release noted, “At LEGOLAND theme parks, families can ride, climb, play, learn, and build together. Kids can also celebrate their own sense of independence by taking a spin on their first roller coaster, the Dragon, or getting behind the wheel at the LEGOLAND Driving School.”
