What I Truly Desire for Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and I find myself eagerly anticipating it like a child waiting for a trip to an amusement park! While some may want to downplay this special day, my kids are buzzing with excitement to shower me with love—and how can I deny their sweet gestures? My wish list is straightforward and mostly cost-free!

Handmade Cards from the Kids

There’s nothing quite like those heartfelt cards that come from the kids. Just like the one my daughter made for me last month, filled with colorful drawings and a special message. Those little doodles that are almost impossible to interpret? “That’s us enjoying ice cream together, Mom!”

Uninterrupted Sleep

When I say sleep, I mean the kind that lets me wake up at a leisurely 9 AM and then drift off for a couple more hours. Pure bliss!

Breakfast in Bed

By the time I actually get to eat it, it’ll likely be lunch, but every year my husband crafts a stunning parfait with layers of fruit, granola, whipped cream, and yogurt. It’s the one thing I look forward to all year.

Time for Word Games

I’m a huge fan of word games like Scrabble and Words With Friends, so having extra time to strategize and play my turns sounds like a dream come true!

Sibling Harmony

Just one day of peace between my kids would be paradise. If they could refrain from teasing and bickering, even for an hour, that would be a Mother’s Day miracle.

Quality Time with Mom

My wonderful mother lives far away, and our chats often turn into rushed exchanges of information. I would love to share a leisurely conversation with her, diving into any topic, even the weather. I know everyone thinks they have the best mom, but honestly, mine is the greatest!

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing moms out there! What would your ideal day look like?
