Alright, everyone, we’re deep into this situation. You know the one—this unexpected stay-at-home, social-distancing lifestyle that has become our new normal. And let’s be honest, we have some pretty big feelings about it.
It’s like we’re stuck in a never-ending loop of the same day. Seriously, what even is today? We’re discovering new games to keep ourselves entertained, and if you’re a parent, you’re probably trying to homeschool. Spoiler: this mostly means teaching our kids basic chores and making sure they wash their hands, all while enduring endless Frozen songs.
#StayHome life has turned us into peeping Toms, rushing to the window every time we spot someone familiar outside. And let’s face it, we’re angry—really angry. Maybe it’s fueled by that one friend on social media who keeps sharing her essential oil concoctions for immunity.
Kids are frustrated, too, and we can’t seem to stop the tears. Also, can we please agree to stop with the workout videos? We get it, you’re staying fit, but enough already! Oddly, the weird things happening around us have started to feel like the new normal.
Friday Nights in Yoga Pants
Friday nights? Yep, it’s all about yoga pants—any variation will do! On the bright side, we’re rediscovering the joy of ‘80s movies and binge-watching reruns. Makeup? What’s that even for anymore? Our appreciation for teachers has skyrocketed, and banana bread has reached gourmet status. Oh, and we have plenty of time to dive into the wild world of Tiger King.
