In an innovative twist on fundraising, celebrity couple Jake and Emma have teamed up with a renowned wine producer to launch their very own “Stay-at-Home Wine,” aimed at supporting charitable initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Announced on April 19, the couple collaborated with Vinecraft and Sunny Valley Vineyards to create this cleverly named wine, with a promise that every penny of the profits will be directed to various COVID-19 charities.
“As we navigate these unusual times, it’s important to find ways to uplift each other,” Jake shared in a light-hearted video introducing the initiative. “And that calls for a little more…” Emma chimed in, finishing his thought with a smile, “…wine!”
The duo explained how they’ve incorporated wine into their virtual hangouts with friends, while also seeking ways to contribute positively during these challenging times. “We’ve identified charities that provide PPE, support for struggling families, and assistance for local businesses,” Jake elaborated. “Emma had the brilliant idea to merge these efforts with a fun wine experience.”
Working closely with the wine producers, they not only contributed to the concept and branding but also carefully selected a range of vetted charities to benefit from the initiative. These organizations include America’s Food Fund, Direct Relief, The Frontline Responders Fund, and Give Directly. “We’re excited that 100 percent—yes, that’s right, all—of the profits will help those in need,” Emma stated. “From feeding families to equipping medical staff, it’s all about making a difference.”
The couple ensured that the wine itself was top-notch. “We had a blast sampling different varieties, and trust me, it’s delicious,” Emma added. The “lovely Oregon Pinot Noir” will be available for $50, featuring interactive labels that invite customers to personalize their bottles.
“Open a bottle, connect with someone virtually, and write a note or draw a message for them,” they encourage on their website. “Snap a photo and share it using #STAYATHOMEWINE, #PPE, and #SOCIALDISTANCING to spread the word and help our cause.”
