As my due date approaches, I’ve made it a mission to savor the last bits of my solo time before my life takes a delightful turn with the arrival of my little one. I know that once the baby is here, my freedom will be a thing of the past, so I’ve come up with a bucket list of indulgent and simple activities to enjoy before I dive into motherhood. Here are my top five:
1. Pamper Yourself with a Prenatal Massage
This one speaks for itself! Treating yourself to a prenatal massage is pure bliss, and it’s a fantastic way to relieve the aches and pains of pregnancy.
2. Go on a Shopping Spree
I might not be able to fit into my regular clothes, but spending a day shopping (even if it’s more for baby essentials than for myself) can be a fun distraction. Plus, a little retail therapy is never a bad idea!
3. Embrace a Day in Your PJs
Sometimes, you just need a lazy day! Slip into your comfiest sweats, binge-watch your favorite shows, and indulge in snacks without any guilt.
4. Catch a Movie Solo
There’s something special about watching a chick flick by yourself. Grab your popcorn and enjoy a little escape from reality!
5. Spend Time at a Café
Find a cozy café where you can kick back, sip your favorite drink, and lose yourself in a good book. The joy of people-watching and enjoying your own company is priceless, especially on a sunny day.
With just a couple of weeks left until my baby arrives, I’ve got one last date with myself to check off my list. I’m getting excited for motherhood but cherishing these final moments of freedom.
