Q: Lila, what inspired you to create Nourish Kids?

Q: What are your top three tips for aspiring female entrepreneurs?
L.T.: First, ensure you are truly passionate about what you’re doing. You’ll need to invest countless hours and a lot of your heart into making your vision a reality.
Second, never give up. We all have valuable ideas that can make a difference, but it’s essential to view your business as a means of effecting change in the world. Just keep pushing forward.
Finally, savor the journey. My experience has been a wild ride filled with stress, uncertainty, and joy. In retrospect, I see how each challenge has contributed to my growth and learning.
Q: What was your biggest challenge?
L.T.: Securing enough funding while remaining true to our mission of purity and service was definitely tough. A portion of every product sold helps feed hungry children in Africa. We aimed to create impactful, organic nutrition, but sourcing quality ingredients can be expensive. We were pioneers in introducing probiotics, DHA, and salba into baby food. Making nutritious food accessible to all families, regardless of income, was another hurdle. But I’ve been fortunate to find investors who share this broader vision while also expecting a financial return.
Q: Looking back, is there anything you’d change?
L.T.: Not at all. If you can reflect at the end of the day and say you did your best, then regrets don’t have a place. I’m proud of our journey and the obstacles we’ve overcome. There were moments of doubt, but they’ve all shaped where I am today.
