People are taking to prank calls directed at the voter fraud hotline established by former President Trump, and these calls are becoming wildly popular online. Although the votes have been tallied, Trump still clings to the idea that he was wronged in the election against President-Elect Joe Biden. To voice complaints and reports of irregularities, he launched a hotline. However, it seems the calls inundating the hotline are not what Trump anticipated. A viral trend on social media is encouraging prank calls, and some of these conversations are downright hilarious.

“Help us stop voter suppression, irregularities and fraud. Share what you’re witnessing,” Trump’s campaign encouraged.

According to reports, campaign staff are swamped with calls, most of which are creative anti-Trump messages, humorous fake reports, and even song parodies. One caller impersonated a character from a popular TV show, passionately arguing that “vampires deserve the same rights as anyone else.” Another caller, a creator of a beloved animated series, described an encounter with a man in a costume resembling the Hamburglar, humorously speculating his affiliation with Antifa.

A particularly committed prankster frequently called, claiming to be “Jonathan Knight,” and shared a story about how his ballot was “soaked” by a poll worker, leaving the operator amused and asking if he “ate it afterwards.” A sports journalist also joined in on the fun by leaving a message detailing the plot of a classic sitcom.

One of the shortest prank calls consisted of just the iconic losing sound from a game show. Another comedian, while laughing, asked if it was legal for “some individuals” to vote. In an impressive display of dedication, some even recited entire movie scripts to the operators, showcasing their creativity.

In response to the prank calls, Trump’s son tweeted that the hotline was being flooded with “spam” from the other side, as if that was a surprise. If you feel like channeling your inner prankster, the hotline number is still available for calls.
