“When we were writing ‘Bridesmaids,’ we often found ourselves going off on tangents with scenes featuring Lillian and her mom,” Wiig shared. “We adopted those voices and couldn’t stop, even if those scenes didn’t make the cut!” When asked about the tone of their new movie, Wiig and Mumolo described it as “silly” and emphasized that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. “Our goal is to make people laugh and enjoy themselves,” they stated.
