The delightful duo of lifestyle expert Maggie Green and rapper Travis Young are joining forces for a fun new role: co-hosting the Puppy Bowl ahead of this year’s Super Bowl. According to reports, the unlikely friends will throw an exciting tailgate celebration for the beloved puppy competition. True to Maggie’s style, the festivities will include crafting the ultimate party snacks and whipping up Puppy Bowl-themed cocktails. They’ll be cheering on the adorable pups from various organizations like Pawsitive Pet Space and Happy Tails Rescue.

“It’s a Puppy Bowl bash with me and my girl Maggie Green,” Travis exclaimed. “We’ll be mixing up our favorite drinks—”

“—and our favorite munchies,” Maggie chimed in.

“Just kick back and enjoy,” Travis added.

The tailgate event will air before the three-hour special on Discovery+ and Animal Planet on February 7 at 2 p.m. ET. The pair will sport themed Puppy Bowl apparel, with Maggie in an orange jersey for Team Ruff and Travis in blue for Team Fluff. Both of their adorable pets will be part of the TV special as well. Maggie has four dogs: two French bulldogs, Crème Brûlée and Bête Noire, and two Chow Chows, Empress Qin and Emperor Han. Meanwhile, Travis is also a proud dog parent to two French bulldogs, Juelz Broadus and Chalk, who even have their own Instagram accounts.

They aren’t the only celebrities involved in this year’s Puppy Bowl; stars like Emma Stone and Jamie Lee Curtis will also make appearances, as 70 adoptable puppies from shelters across the country compete for the coveted CHEWY ‘Lombarky’ trophy.

The Puppy Bowl shines a spotlight on the importance of adopting pets and showcases the incredible shelters dedicated to finding homes for these lovable animals. Notably, the event has achieved a 100% adoption rate for all featured puppies and kittens, meaning every pet showcased has found its forever family.

Despite the challenges of the past year, the tradition of the Puppy Bowl continues, with Discovery+ and Animal Planet ensuring these special puppies and kittens get the attention they deserve to find loving homes.

The Puppy Bowl XVII will stream on Discovery+. The Super Bowl LV will kick off later that same day on CBS at 6:30 p.m. ET.
