Regarding the harassment directed towards Collins, he added, “To anyone sending hate her way, please stop. I am not a victim; I messed up and I take responsibility for that. Tackling racism and oppression is a complex issue that requires dedicated effort, and I am committed to that process.”
Future of the Show
In the wake of the controversy, the show announced that Jordan Smith would be stepping in to host the upcoming “After the Final Rose” episode. However, Taylor confirmed he plans to return to his hosting role. “I want to come back and I am dedicated to making progress—not just for myself, but also for the franchise. This interview is just the beginning; there’s a lot more to be done, and I’m eager to contribute to that change.”
While Taylor mentioned he is collaborating with a race educator and strategist, many are questioning why he clings so tenaciously to his hosting position. After all, as an executive producer, he still has a significant role in the show’s production and doesn’t necessarily need to host. His persistent desire to remain in the spotlight is puzzling, especially given that he has achieved financial success.
