Molly Lane, a successful model and actress, reveals that her most important role is being a mom. In a candid conversation, she shares her experiences with separation anxiety, the best and worst parenting advice she’s received, and her exciting plans for a joint birthday celebration with her son, Leo. (Can we get an invite?)

Molly Lane:

One moment that truly hit me hard was when I was about to head to Mexico for a weekend getaway with friends—Leo was just seven months old. As I said goodbye, I found myself in tears! I couldn’t leave him. My husband literally had to pull me away, convincing me it was okay to be gone for a couple of days. That was when it really dawned on me, “Wow, I’m definitely a mom now!” I had a fun weekend planned, but all I could think about was returning home to him.

Question: Are there any celebrity moms you admire?

Molly Lane:

I really look up to moms like Emma Stone, who seems to juggle everything effortlessly, and my own mother, who motivates me daily.

Question: What do you love most about being a mother? Is there anything you miss?

Molly Lane:

Being a mom is my greatest pride! Watching Leo grow, learn, and develop his personality is such a joy. He’s hilarious and curious about everything! However, I definitely miss sleep—anything beyond five hours feels like a luxury.

Question: What’s the best and worst advice you’ve ever received as a mom?

Molly Lane:

The best advice was that every child is unique. While it’s good to read up and prepare, you can never be fully ready for motherhood. Expect surprises that no book can predict! The worst advice? I’d say downloading that app that interprets a baby’s cries—completely unhelpful.

Question: So, what are your plans for Leo’s birthday?

Molly Lane:

Our birthdays are close together, so we’re throwing a combined party! Leo is turning one, and I’m… not turning one! It’s the perfect reason to gather everyone. We’ll have music for the kids, tons of cake, snacks, balloons, and some drinks for the adults.

Question: What inspired you to get involved with the charity Baby2Baby?

Molly Lane:

Baby2Baby is incredible! They provide essential items like diapers and clothing to families in need. I wanted to help because every child deserves these basics. The partnership with Huggies, donating a million diapers this year, is amazing. We must do our part to support these families.
