what is the best at-home insemination kit?
In a recent viral TikTok series, a woman, referred to as “Karen,” falsely accused two Black women of threatening her in Central Park. The incident unfolded when the women asked Karen for their phone charger that had fallen during a bike ride.
In the clips shared by TikToker Alana Bennett (@alanabennett), Karen can be seen approaching a passerby and claiming that the women were threatening her life. She escalates the situation by dialing 911 and telling the dispatcher that the women were trying to “beat” her. Despite the clear absence of any aggression from the two women, Karen even pretends that they are physically assaulting her.
Confronted by Bennett, who asked if she was being racist, Karen unapologetically responded, “Yes, I am. I pick my race over any race. What’s your problem?” The tension continued to rise as both parties recounted their versions of the events to the New York City police.
After retrieving their charger, the situation took a frustrating turn when an officer suggested he would wait for Karen to “calm down” before returning the charger to Bennett, prompting her to question the police’s enabling behavior. In a follow-up post, Bennett revealed that another TikTok user recognized the woman from a previous encounter.
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has since signed legislation criminalizing false race-based 911 calls, but the outcome for Karen remains uncertain.
