Additionally, HBO Max revealed that the special will feature a slew of guest appearances, including stars like Justin Bieber, Mindy Kaling, Lady Gaga, Reese Witherspoon, and even Malala Yousafzai. Despite numerous setbacks, the cast remained optimistic about capturing the magic of their original show in front of a live studio audience. They eventually filmed the reunion on April 9, 2021, and thanks to the fans present, we got to see glimpses of the iconic set, complete with the beloved fountain and apothecary table.
Over the years, moments of a Friends reunion have been rare, and the cast understands how special this event is. “We’re all incredibly grateful,” Kudrow expressed in an interview. “We genuinely had so much fun over the years and we’re just really thankful for these moments we can share.”
