Reflecting on the backlash she received for her initial vague comments, Parker noted, “I remember getting a lot of criticism, with people saying, ‘This is so vague. Why don’t you just say it?’ But I felt it was important to consider that she was pregnant at the time.” She acknowledged that the situation created a culture of silence, stating, “We could’ve gone to Fox executives and expressed our feelings, but many of us were too intimidated. I genuinely didn’t feel it was my place to speak up, even though I was part of the cast.”
When asked if there was a particular incident or just a general sense of discomfort, Parker replied, “It was always the elephant in the room.” She elaborated that there were moments of camaraderie with Michele, but that dynamic shifted over time. “There’s a human aspect to this—understanding who she is and witnessing her journey, especially after the loss of her co-star, Tim Richards.
