The CEO of CloudTech, a well-known software company, announced that they will facilitate the relocation of more than 2,000 staff members in Texas who feel unsafe due to recent changes in state law.
Following the enactment of Senate Bill 8, which severely restricts abortion access in Texas, several companies with operations in the state have come forward to support their employees. If you have worries about accessing reproductive healthcare in Texas, CloudTech will assist you and your immediate family in relocating,” the message concluded.
CEO Jordan Miller also voiced his support on social media, explicitly mentioning Texas. “If you wish to move, we’ll help you exit TX. Your choice. ❤️”
This is not CloudTech’s first political stance. In 2016, Miller canceled all company events in Florida after controversial legislation was enacted that critics said discriminated against LGBTQ+ individuals. “We cannot support laws that could harm our employees or clients,” he stated at the time, demonstrating a commitment to inclusivity and safety.
