What’s All the Buzz About This Eye Cream Taking TikTok by Storm?

Back in 2016, I visited Boston with my family. While strolling through the city, a charming salesperson approached me, inquiring if I was a model. Little did I know, this was his tactic to lure me into his high-end salon to try an incredibly pricey eye cream.

It’s amusing to think about how I fell for his fabricated charm and ended up sitting there as he applied a product under my eyes that left them feeling unnaturally tight. While I noticed a visible difference for the woman next to me, my under-eye area didn’t change much since I don’t struggle with puffiness (though I have my fair share of other issues!). Eventually, I had to decline the $400 eye cream in favor of feeding my family. The salesperson was not pleased, but I managed to escape, thanks to my three kids who started exploring everything in sight.

When I stumbled upon a viral TikTok video showcasing the Peter Thomas Roth Eye Tightening Cream, it brought back memories of that day. Intrigued, I researched further. The good news? You can snag this miraculous cream for about $50. After watching the video, I wondered if it was the same liquid gold I encountered in Boston.

In the video, you can see how the bags under a woman’s eyes disappear after just a few minutes of applying the cream. I had to try it for myself, so I caved and ordered a jar to see what it could do for me.

Here’s what I discovered: this product works remarkably well. The image below features my partner, who has been struggling with under-eye bags and was eager to test it out.

The eye on the left is without the cream, and the one on the right shows the results just five minutes after application. I ordered this elixir over a month ago, and I just received it because its popularity has skyrocketed, but I can confidently say it was worth the wait.

If you want to get your hands on this product, I recommend ordering it ASAP. After applying, you need to wait about five minutes for it to work its magic. Be sure to rub it in thoroughly; otherwise, it can leave a slight white residue on your skin. The feeling is tight but not uncomfortable, similar to when saltwater dries on your skin after a swim.

One thing to note is how the cream interacts with makeup. After using it, I found that my makeup didn’t blend as seamlessly as usual; it looked a bit crusty in some areas under my eyes. However, with practice, I learned to apply it better and moisturize, which improved the results.

I decided to test the cream by going to the gym to see if it could hold up during a workout. While I didn’t sweat profusely, it did manage to last through my session. However, keep in mind that if you swim, wash your face, or get caught in the rain, the cream will wash away along with the tightness. So, if you’re heading to a pool party where your ex will be present, remember it will disappear once you take a dip!

I’d estimate the effects last about six hours if you stay dry, so make sure to bring it along if you want to maintain that taut look. For $50, it’s a fantastic product, especially since a little goes a long way, making it a cost-effective alternative to invasive procedures for under-eye concerns.

I understand the excitement surrounding this cream and why the company is struggling to meet demand. When I ordered, they included samples of other products, which thrilled me. If this eye cream works so well, I’m eager to explore more from their line.
