Nadia Noor wears many hats. In her personal life, she is a devoted daughter, sister, friend, loving wife, and excited mom-to-be. On the professional front, Nadia is a content creator, designer, and entrepreneur. Recently, she has taken on the role of a published children’s author with her book, ‘Beautifully Me.’

This delightful story follows a day in the life of Zubi, a Bangladeshi girl who learns the importance of self-love and that true beauty goes beyond appearance. Nadia recently spoke with a parenting platform to discuss Zubi’s journey, the theme of self-love, and her upcoming adventure into motherhood.

Nadia crafted ‘Beautifully Me’ not just for children but with a vital message for adults as well. “Throughout my career, I’ve focused on self-love and building unapologetic confidence,” she explains. “I want to help children learn the right message about beauty from the start, so they don’t have to unlearn harmful beliefs later.”

Nadia’s Bengali heritage shines throughout ‘Beautifully Me.’ “When I was a child, I rarely saw characters in books that reflected my culture. This lack of representation made me feel different, not in a positive way,” she recalls. By integrating Bangla language and cultural elements, she hopes to celebrate underrepresented communities and inspire young readers to see themselves in stories.

Zubi’s experiences mirror Nadia’s own childhood struggles. “I wrote this for my future child and for my younger self,” Nadia shares. “The conversations Zubi has with her family are the ones I wish I had growing up. I want to empower children to choose confidence in a world that often tries to make them feel otherwise.”

In an effort to foster inclusivity, Zubi’s classmate Alix uses they/them pronouns. “There are kids out there who may not feel safe being themselves. I wanted to create a character for them to see,” Nadia says proudly.

Nadia hopes ‘Beautifully Me’ will inspire discussions around self-love and the impact of words on young minds. “Loving yourself is a powerful tool that encourages children to embrace who they are,” she emphasizes. “I want this book to start conversations and celebrate Bengali culture in ways we haven’t seen before.”

This year has brought even more joy for Nadia and her husband, as they are expecting their first daughter. After experiencing a heartbreaking pregnancy loss, she cherishes this new blessing. “It was a miracle to find out we were pregnant again so soon after such a loss. It felt like hope had returned to my life,” Nadia shares with a joyful heart.
