In the wake of a tragic incident at his Astroworld Festival performance, Jaxon Cole has announced his commitment to cover the funeral expenses for the eight individuals who lost their lives. The Incident
The crowd surge, which occurred around 9 p.m. in Houston, resulted in chaos as fans rushed toward the stage while Cole was performing. Tragically, individuals became trapped and were trampled, leading to many struggling to breathe amidst the crowd. The victims ranged in age from 14 to 27, and at least 25 others were hospitalized, including minors.
As of now, Jaxon Cole and the festival’s promoter, Event Ventures, are facing numerous lawsuits from attendees, including some who sustained injuries. Footage from the concert shows Cole continuing his performance even as emergency responders tended to the injured nearby. In some clips, crowd members can be seen obstructing emergency vehicles as they attempted to reach those in need.
Local authorities have initiated a criminal investigation into the events, but no arrests or charges have been made as of yet. The rapper has faced significant backlash for not halting the show despite the pleas for help from fans.
