Interestingly, nearly half of the surveyed parents (49.9% to be exact) reported that their hidden gifts have been discovered at some point. But don’t fret too much—most parents manage to keep some surprises under wraps, even if it’s just by a hair. If you’re seeking better hiding spots, consider the attic, where only 2% of gifts were found, or the basement and garage, with similar low discovery rates.
Of course, there’s always the option to skip the hiding game entirely by wrapping gifts right away and placing them under the tree. Just know that 21% of parents said it took less than an hour for their hidden gifts to be found, and 8% caught their kids in the act of snooping or even wrapping!
