Model Katherine Webb-McCarron is not holding back after receiving some rude direct messages about her postpartum figure. The former Miss Alabama took to Instagram on January 26 to share her feelings about the unwelcome comments regarding her body following the arrival of her third child with husband, Jake Thompson, baby Cole, born in April 2021.
“Listen up, haters,” the model, who also has two sons, Max and Leo, said in her story. “I’ve given birth to three kids in the last five years! Please stop sending me those nasty DMs about my weight and my stomach. I’m fine with my weight. Sure, I’d like to lose a bit, but it doesn’t need to happen overnight.”
This response came after she expressed her excitement about sharing more photos of herself again. “I promised myself I’d start posting more, so here’s a good first attempt 😎,” she captioned a series of pictures where she rocked some trendy athleisure and stylish shades. To be honest, she looks amazing, so it’s baffling why anyone would feel the need to criticize her.
Fortunately, Katherine has a strong support system. “Girl, you are hotter than a summer day 🔥🔥🔥,” one follower commented. Another added, “You look incredible!❤️” While a friend chimed in, “That last pic with the little one is the best! 😍” Katherine also shared her love for the photos featuring little Cole, saying, “His goofy face had me laughing while I was going through these. Just let me be with my cute kid!”
When Katherine first announced her pregnancy in October 2020, she candidly talked about her weight gain with her agent. “I told her, ‘What you see is what you get,’” she said. “I’ve already gained 20 pounds in my first trimester, and I’m not sure why. They say the normal gain is two to four pounds, so I’m way past that. This third pregnancy has been tough, but I’m just grateful for a healthy baby!”
Katherine faced similar changes after her second pregnancy, admitting, “Eight months today, and I’ve gained 40 pounds, much more than my first at this point. I don’t feel like I’m eating much more, so it’s strange, but I’m embracing my comfy leggings!”
