We’ve been eagerly anticipating the second season of “Bridgerton,” much like the Duke of Hastings yearned for Daphne Bridgerton. The pandemic left many fans craving more, and now we finally have a release date along with an enticing teaser to savor.
Just yesterday, Shonda Rhimes graced our Twitter feeds with a simple yet thrilling tweet that ignited excitement among Bridgerton enthusiasts.
The Teaser Unveiled
The teaser begins with a young messenger boy racing to deliver Queen Charlotte the latest edition of Lady Whistledown’s column. In the elegant narration by Julie Andrews, Lady Whistledown addresses those who attempted to unmask and silence her, while we glimpse some of the captivating drama that lies ahead.
We see Penelope Featherington preparing for the fray, as well as a cheerful Eloise alongside a brooding, fully grown Colin Bridgerton. And yes, we even catch a glimpse of Viscount Anthony Bridgerton in a steamy bathtub!
Romantic Journeys
This season will concentrate on the romantic journey of Anthony and Edwina (Charithra Chandran), who arrives from India with her family just in time for the season’s festivities. However, when Edwina’s older sister, Kate Sharma (Simone Ashley), discovers that Anthony’s interest is merely a duty as the family Viscount, she starts to meddle. Things take a complicated turn as they find themselves inappropriately drawn to each other.
In this latest teaser, we also see Daphne returning to assist her brother in his courting endeavors, although the absence of the Duke is a disappointing reminder. Still, the tantalizing glimpses we received almost make up for the absence of Regé-Jean Page. We can hardly wait for March 25th when we can share all the juicy details!
