25+ Shows Like ‘Insecure’ That Celebrate Black Friendship, Joy, & Love

Created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, Insecure provided an unfiltered glimpse into Black life in Los Angeles, tackling social and racial issues faced by millennial Black women. Over its five seasons on HBO, it featured a plethora of indie and mainstream Black artists, including Lizzo and Chloe x Halle. 8. She’s Gotta Have It (2017-2019)
