In a candid interview with Romper, actress Hilary Jones shared her thoughts on expanding her family. The busy mom of three—who also has a three-year-old named Banks and an 11-month-old daughter, Mae—discussed balancing her career and motherhood, and even shared a relatable moment about choosing Taco Bell over the gym, all while wearing workout clothes.

Currently in the throes of the hectic “mom years,” Jones remains open to the idea of having more children. When asked if she was done having kids, her answer was refreshingly straightforward: “I don’t think so.” Despite the demands of her successful career, she expressed enthusiasm about possibly adding to her blended family. “It’s a bit crazy, I know. We might be,” she said. “I love being a parent with Matt.” (Jones married musician and producer Matthew Koma in 2019.)

As Mae approaches her first birthday, Jones hasn’t made any final decisions about whether Mae will be their last child. “We are obsessed with our kids, even though we’re so exhausted,” she remarked. “My entire life’s mission is to be a good parent.”

However, Jones doesn’t claim to have the perfect parenting routine down. She humorously acknowledged the challenges of family life, saying, “I wish I could tell you we were the family that all sits down and eats dinner together every night… We all sat down together like three days ago at the table, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, we’re all sitting at the table together! What’s going to be our topic?’ And Luca was like, ‘What’s wrong with you?’”

In another candid moment, she recounted how she handled a curious question from her son about a euphemism for male anatomy. Faced with the choice to either mislead him or be honest, she opted for openness, believing it’s healthier to maintain that approach.

Jones also played a parenting version of Never Have I Ever with Romper, where she shared candid truths like using her kids as an excuse to back out of plans and opting for snacks over workouts, making her all the more relatable. As she put it, “Once I even went to Taco Bell instead of the gym.”
