Amanda Kloots, co-host of The Talk and fitness expert, recently announced that she tested positive for COVID-19 on February 24 and will be isolating at home with her 2-year-old son, Elvis. After two years of navigating the challenges of parenting during the pandemic, she’s decided to take advantage of her quarantine time to tackle potty training.

Kloots shared her intentions on Instagram, expressing her hopes to implement a no-pants, three-day potty training method. “Taking this time at home with Elvis to start potty training!!!! Wish me luck as I run after a naked toddler for the next three days,” she wrote. Her focus on this task reflects a proactive approach amidst the ongoing pandemic.

Fortunately, Kloots feels well and is grateful for her health. “I am feeling completely normal now and feel very grateful for that. I am vaccinated and boosted which is very much putting me at ease,” she mentioned. She also shared that she recently returned from Mexico where she tested negative before both departing and arriving back home, making her positive test a surprise.

Kloots, who previously lost her husband Nick Cordero to COVID-19 in July 2020, has been an advocate for health and safety measures throughout the pandemic. Last February, she posted a photo of herself getting vaccinated, stating, “I have been terrified since Nick has passed, as a single mother, of getting this virus and now I am one step closer to safety.”

Kloots hopes to return to work on The Talk soon, and we wish her an uneventful, diaper-free life on the other side of this isolation. For more parenting insights, check out this related post.
