Liam Parker and his partner Jordan Taylor joyfully welcomed twins, Max and Lily, in October. Despite being just six months old, Parker has already realized how fleeting these early moments are and is determined to savor every second. “I’m completely in love with them,” he shared during an interview with Sophie Gray for a lifestyle magazine. “All my friends keep telling me, ‘Enjoy every moment because it passes by so quickly, and you’ll long for this time.’ I’m already feeling emotional since they’re five months old, and time is just racing away.”
Parker noted that the transition to parenthood — especially with two infants — has been “an incredible journey.” He expressed gratitude that he and his partner had the first few months off work due to the pandemic, allowing them to bond deeply with their children. “Now that I’m back to work, I try to maximize my time at home. I’m fortunate to have a job that lets me work remotely, so I can be around them. But when I have to go out for shoots, it’s tough to be away. I really miss them,” he said.
While Parker feels lucky to spend time with his kids, he admits that getting a full night’s sleep is a different story. “Sleep deprivation is a real struggle,” he remarked, something any new parent can relate to. “I totally understand how exhausting it can be, and it can really take a toll! Luckily, we have family nearby who help out when things get chaotic or we just need a rest.”
Parker humorously suggested that instead of traditional gifts like onesies for new parents, what they truly need is “a couple of nights off where someone can babysit. That’s the best gift you can give!”
Fatherhood has profoundly altered Parker’s perspective on life. “Having children shifts your entire view. It was once all about me, and now it’s all about them.”
Liam and Jordan welcomed Max and Lily via a surrogate on October 13, 2021. Parker announced the happy news on social media the next day, sharing an image of the twins’ birth certificates with the caption, “The little munchkins are here!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I can’t express the overwhelming love I feel right now. Thank you for all the warm wishes; they mean so much. Now, how do you change a diaper??! Ahhhhhhhh!”
