As someone who has recently embraced motherhood, I must confess that I’ve never pre-ordered a book. Since becoming a parent, my reading time has dwindled significantly. Often, I find myself purchasing a book only after numerous recommendations from friends. Unfortunately, it usually ends up gathering dust on my nightstand, waiting for months to be read before it’s finally shelved away, largely forgotten.

Thus, it may seem a bit disingenuous for me to encourage you to pre-order my upcoming book. After all, you might consider simply waiting a month to buy it — what’s the rush? Well, I’m glad you asked! Pre-orders play a crucial role in determining whether retailers will stock the book. Additionally, my publisher uses these numbers to decide my book tour locations. While I’m excited to cover much of the East Coast, I’m eager to reach readers in the West and Texas too. Let’s show them we’re here! Plus, ordering online is a steal at just ten dollars, compared to the fifteen dollars you’d pay in stores, and all pre-sales contribute to my book’s initial sales figures.

I understand that this may not be the most compelling argument, so allow me to offer some enticing incentives:

  • If you pre-order before March 31, you’ll receive a limited edition, hand-signed bookplate and a bookmark. (And if you’ve already placed your order, you’re still eligible! Simply fill out this form, and expect your goodies in about eight weeks.)
  • For those who pre-order ten copies for a book club or a group of friends before March 31, you’ll be rewarded with a Book Club Pack. This includes ten bookmarks, delicious recipe cards for the signature cocktail and dessert, ten signed bookplates, ten copies of the Manifesto, five cupcake toppers, and the game “Confessions.” Just send a screenshot or receipt of your order to us!
  • If you’re feeling particularly generous and pre-order 30 copies before March 31, you’ll receive a Party Pack. Perfect for a baby shower, birthday bash, or girls’ night, this pack contains the Confessions game, thirty cupcake toppers, recipe cards, a cute onesie, thirty signed bookplates, a complete shopping list for your party, and a CD with downloadable invitations and more. It’s the ultimate celebration kit that I wish I could use every weekend!

Honestly, I think these offers might even persuade me to pre-order a book myself. What’s stopping you?
