Dear precious child,
As I adjusted your bright polka dot curtains and dressed you in your cozy pajamas, we sang our beloved “Twinkle, Twinkle.” However, tonight felt particularly heavy. It may seem as though we have failed. In some respects, we have. However, when viewed from a broader perspective, we haven’t truly failed. We can’t fail because you, my darling, are the constant in our lives that we will always fight for.
