In a delightful turn of events, the New Taipei Police K-9 Unit has recently welcomed six new recruits, and they couldn’t be cuter. These adorable pups are sure to bring a smile to anyone’s face amidst the often heavy news cycle.

This charming update was shared via the unit’s social media, where they introduced their first-ever K-9 puppies: Fushin, Brother, AJ, Schumann, Feida, and Full Moon. All six are one-month-old American Labradors and are siblings, continuing a family legacy in the K-9 unit. Their parents, Yellow and Leader, are already serving as dedicated members of the force, specializing in anti-bomb and anti-drug operations. Although nepotism is typically frowned upon, it’s hard to resist these fluffy additions to the team.

Caring for the New Pups

Captain of the K-9 Unit, Leo Wang, disclosed to a news outlet that while the pups may appear to be dozing off in pictures, they are quite lively. Officers take turns caring for the pups and their mother at night, and it seems they might even be wishing for some overtime to spend more time with them. Should they ever seek volunteers for puppy-sitting, we’d like to formally express our interest.

Meet Fushin: The Mischievous One

Interestingly, Fushin, the only golden Labrador among the siblings, has been identified as the most mischievous and assertive of the bunch. He is set to receive special training as a blood detection dog. As part of their early training regimen, the officers are introducing the scent of narcotics to the pups during mealtime to acclimate them to the various smells they’ll encounter in their future work.

Provided they complete their training successfully, these pups will soon join their parents in active duty. However, if that doesn’t pan out, we can think of a perfect role for them in our lives — simply as our cherished pets.
