Hey friends! Today’s fun idea: let’s cover our stunning figures in glitter and snap some pics!
So, I’ve packed on 50 pounds since I welcomed my second little one into the world. Yup, you read that right—FIFTY. But you know what? Most days, I still feel fabulous. The only time I don’t feel so great? When I’m wrestling with my wardrobe. Honestly, if I could roam around sans clothes all day, I’d be in bliss. That’s why I’m totally into these amazing photos featuring incredible bodies adorned in glitter.
Meet the Creative Force Behind Glittered Beauties
Meet Sarah Bell, the creative force behind the Glittered Beauties project. “It all began with a group of women sharing a passion for body positivity and beautiful lingerie. We had no idea how far it would go,” Bell shared. “We decided to cover ourselves in glitter to celebrate our natural beauty, and we went for it!”
Photographers Lisa Hart and Jenna Moore joined forces to capture the magic. “The original goal was for the women to shed their inhibitions, to celebrate themselves and take back control over how they see their bodies. It’s their idea, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” Hart explained.
Celebrating Diversity and Body Positivity
Just look at these gorgeous figures! There’s something about ditching clothes and getting all glittered up that shows off the beauty of every shape and size.
One caption read, “Day 12 on this account and we’ve already had a post removed.” Seriously, is anyone shocked? When women embrace their bodies for themselves, it seems to ruffle some feathers. Sure, we can strut around naked to sell products, but heaven forbid we uplift our own bodies just to feel good about ourselves. That might disrupt the advertising narrative!
“As time passed, our focus shifted more toward celebrating the diversity of women. Each participant has her own unique story and reasons for joining. There’s a serious lack of representation in the media, and it’s crucial for everyone to be seen,” Bell continued about the project. “Our upcoming glitter event will feature over 20 women of varied shapes, sizes, and backgrounds. These are everyday women who want to honor their bodies.”
Honestly, who knew a glitter-covered naked party was exactly what we were missing in our lives? I had no idea, but count me in!
