Hey, friends! So guess what? Poppy and her crew are back with a brand new holiday special, and it’s hitting our screens this week! If you’re like me, you probably find yourself watching Trolls every time your kids pull it up on the iPad. I’m not ashamed to say I still crank up the radio when “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” comes on. While we have to wait until 2020 for Trolls 2 (ugh, right?), DreamWorks is treating us to Trolls Holiday, a delightful half-hour animated special that’s airing during primetime next week. Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake are reprising their roles as the adorable duo, Poppy and Branch.

The Plot Sounds Super Fun!

According to NBC, “Now that the Bergens’ one holiday is gone—and the Trolls don’t have to worry about being eaten by their neighbors—Poppy, the ever-optimistic Troll queen, is determined to create a new day of celebration in Bergen Town.” She’ll enlist the help of a hesitant Branch and the colorful Snack Pack to convince her Bergen pals, Bridget and King Gristle Jr., that life would be a blast with a new holiday. But it won’t be easy to get the Bergens on board with Poppy’s wild ideas for celebrations like Ticklepalooza or Balloon Squeal Day. There’s bound to be some drama, but if anyone can handle it, it’s Poppy with her epic scrapbooking skills!

The Coolest Part? The Star-Studded Cast!

Alongside Kendrick and Timberlake, the special features Zooey Deschanel as Bridget, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as King Gristle Jr., and even James Corden as Biggie, plus more familiar voices.

If you’re as impatient as I am (or just need a quick escape from the kiddos), DreamWorks has released a sneak peek of the opening scene from Trolls Holiday. You can check it out below. So, mark your calendars for Friday night, or catch it on Netflix on December 6th. Don’t miss out on all the fun!
