I’ve never had a sister, a fact I always felt a pang of loss over. However, what I discovered instead is even better: a group of incredible women who have become my chosen family. Most of us didn’t connect until we hit our 30s, but honestly, that’s when life really starts to get interesting, doesn’t it?
You ladies are my tribe, and I’m constantly amazed by your strength, compassion, and authenticity. Some of you I see nearly every day, while others I catch up with less frequently. Life has a funny way of working out like that, but I always know you’re there for me. The perfect, witty, and sometimes cheeky text you send me when I’m feeling overwhelmed always lifts my spirits. It’s like you have a sixth sense!
We’re a wonderfully quirky group, and I love how we can brighten each other’s days with little surprises, like dropping a cupcake or a silly card in each other’s mailboxes just because we sense someone is having a rough time. Or sharing a throwback song that takes us back to those unforgettable nights dancing like nobody was watching.
I appreciate how I can borrow your cute dress for that spontaneous afternoon wedding, even if we’re not exactly the same size (I’m four inches taller and definitely weigh more, but hey, that’s what Spanx are for!).
I cherish our conversations that begin with, “Okay, don’t call me weird, but…” Because of course, we’re all a little odd! We embrace it. And when the discussions turn deeper, requiring honesty and empathy, you all show up with understanding and grace. You’ve weathered your share of storms—divorce, betrayal, serious health issues, and the relentless challenges life throws at you. Yet, you continue to rise with dignity and humor.
I love you all dearly. Each of you is a blessing not just to me, but to your families and all your friends. Despite everything you’ve been through, you still manage to look stunning and make time for laughter, even when I send you an outrageously inappropriate meme.
So, please remember this: you are cherished, you are loved, and you are absolutely remarkable. Thank you for being you; you are my heroes.
