For those who have opened their hearts to a rescue animal, you understand the joy that comes from welcoming a new furry family member while also saving a life. With countless pets in need of loving homes, choosing the right one can be overwhelming. Let me introduce you to Bruno—a truly exceptional feline.
“Hello there! I’m Bruno, a 7-year-old polydactyl cat tipping the scales at a magnificent 25 pounds,” shared the Wright Way Rescue on their Facebook page. “There’s so much of me to love!” Despite being on a diet, Bruno is in excellent health, and honestly, he’s purrfect just the way he is.
Wright Way Rescue informed us that Bruno has been in their care since April after being surrendered by his previous owner. “Unfortunately, he didn’t get along well with the children in the household,” they explained. “Given his size, it’s understandable that he couldn’t easily escape the chaos.” Along with his fondness for food and relaxation, Bruno loves being petted (strictly on the face and neck; approach his tummy at your own risk!) and enjoys playing with his feather wand toy. When he’s not actively engaged with his toys, you might find him strolling around the house, judging your life choices with a discerning eye.
Bruno has some quirky habits that make him even more special. He prefers to be petted while eating and insists on drinking water in a separate room—ideally, multiple rooms with fresh water refilled daily. Yes, he knows he’s eccentric, and he doesn’t care what you think.
Wright Way emphasized, “There are so many wonderful animals like Bruno waiting for a family. While not every pet may stand on their hind legs or have such a vibrant personality, they all deserve a loving home. Adult cats often spend the longest time in shelters and are equally deserving of love.”
The mission of Wright Way Rescue is to lower the number of pets euthanized in the Midwest, and they offer various programs for adoption, community education, and spaying and neutering. Bruno describes himself as a “very laid-back, lazy cat who simply wants to be around my humans. I’m told I bring joy and laughter every day.”
Although many are interested in adopting Bruno, Wright Way is still accepting applications to find his ideal match. If you believe you could be the right fit for this lovable giant, please consider applying through their website. You can also support their efforts to help animals like Bruno find their forever homes by donating.
