Couple Tries to Host Wedding at Mansion Without Permission

In a truly Florida-style incident, a couple attempted to hold their entire wedding at a mansion they didn’t own and lacked permission to use. Thompson claimed it was “destiny” for them to marry at this location. They had previously posed as potential buyers to tour the home and, despite being turned down by the owner, decided to go ahead with their wedding anyway, assuming it was unoccupied. Unfortunately, the owner, Nathan Green, was home enjoying his morning coffee when he noticed a group of strangers setting up for a wedding on his lawn.

“I have people trespassing on my property,” Green reported to 911. “They keep bothering me, saying they’re having a wedding here because it’s meant to be. I just want it to stop.” When the police arrived, they instructed Thompson and Carter to leave, which they did. Fortunately, no charges were filed, and it remains unclear if they found another venue to say “I do.”
