In a recent Twitter statement, Iggy Azalea has made serious allegations against Jamie Spears, the father of Britney Spears, stemming from their collaboration in 2015. This comes on the heels of Britney’s emotional court testimony where she discussed the alleged mistreatment she has endured during her long conservatorship. Since then, several of Britney’s famous peers have stepped up to support her during this challenging time.
Iggy, who worked alongside Britney on the 2015 track “Pretty Girls,” shared her unsettling experiences with Jamie. She emphasized that Britney’s claims should be taken seriously, declaring, “She is not exaggerating or lying.” Azalea recounted witnessing Britney’s restrictive treatment, including bizarre limitations on simple pleasures like how many sodas she could consume.
Previously, during a 2016 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Azalea revealed that Britney’s team had her home searched prior to their lunch meeting to ensure she wasn’t a negative influence. “I mean, I don’t have like a crack den,” she joked.
Azalea also recounted a troubling incident before their performance at the Billboard Music Awards, stating, “Britney’s father conveniently waited until literally moments before our BMAs performance when I was backstage in the dressing room & told me if I did not sign an NDA, I would not be allowed to perform.”
